Paws for Me is not a directory. Every breeder on our platform has been personally reviewed by our team — assessed for ethical practices, health standards, and genuine care for their animals. We turn away applications that don't meet our standards.

The Commitment

The Paws for Me Breeder Commitment

Every verified breeder on Paws for Me agrees to:

  • Prioritise puppy welfare above all else
  • Represent their puppies and breeding practices honestly
  • Maintain clean, safe, and enriching environments
  • Match puppies responsibly to suitable homes
  • Provide ongoing support to buyers after adoption
  • Never operate or supply from commercial puppy farming operations

The Standards

Our Verification Standards

To be considered for verification, breeders must meet the following — and agree to our Code of Ethics:

  • Registered with a recognised breeding association (MDBA, ANKC, or state equivalent)
  • Demonstrated breeding knowledge and responsible practices — at least one completed healthy litter or equivalent breeding mentorship
  • Health testing conducted on parent dogs appropriate to the breed
  • Puppies raised in a home or family environment, not kennels
  • All puppies leave with first vaccination, microchip, and vet health check as a minimum
  • Willingness to participate in a founder interview as part of the application process

The Process

Our Verification Process

Step 1 — Apply

Submit your breeder application with your registration details, breeding history, and health testing information.

Step 2 — Review

Our team reviews your application within 48 hours. We check registrations, assess your practices, and look at your history.

Step 3 — Interview

Shortlisted breeders are invited to a brief phone or video call with our founder. This is a conversation, not an interrogation — we want to understand your approach.

Step 4 — Decision

Approved breeders receive their Verified badge and are added to our network. We'll let you know either way.
